Fair Dealing Commitments

The Bank of East Asia Limited, Singapore Branch is fully dedicated to delivering fair dealing outcomes to customers, which are:

Since the release of the Fair Dealing Guidelines issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore in April 2009, we have instituted the following:

  1. Created a fact-find analysis for customers, reinforced our sales and advisory process and improved our marketing material disclosures;
  2. Increased product training to staff involved in the selling process; and
  3. Ensured that the compliance of fair dealing outcomes is part of the staff key performance indicators.


Customers can be assured that they will receive recommendations on a reasonable basis with respect to their investment objectives, financial situation and particular needs, whilst deciding an appropriate investment product.
