Risk Manager

Singapore • Permanent • Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean, and analyse large datasets to support risk assessments and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance data visualisations and dashboards to communicate key risk metrics and trends to the local and Head Office Management.
  • Support the development of documentation for data sources, data dictionaries and data lineage.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline existing risk reporting and data processing workflows.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions using VBA, RPA, Gen AI or other scripting languages to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of automated data quality checks.
  • Assist in the preparation of risk reports and presentations for senior management and ALCO.
  • Participate in Group/Local risk projects or enhancement of stress testing and/or risk modelling.
  • Assist in the maintenance and update of SOPs related to data processing and reporting for risk management. Ensure these are in line with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and validation of risk reports and risk indicators to monitor and assess risks related to market risk, liquidity risk, and interest rate risk.


Requirement


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Risk Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role; and at least 3 years in risk management, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, or R. Working knowledge of VBA for process automation and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with financial instruments and risk management concepts is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative risk solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for presenting risk assessments to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
