Account Opening Manager, Wealth Management

Responsibilities
- Deliver a seamless Client Onboarding experience for our Private Banking team.
- Perform checking on account documentation to ensure that all AML customer due diligence requirements are completely fulfilled before opening of new account for the customer.
- Conduct and coordinate periodic client profile review as well as follow up on incomplete CDD documents.
- Maintain updated records of client accounts for ongoing monitoring of required AML functions.
- Update clients’ investment objectives, risk tolerance level and constraints derived from risk assessment questionnaire.
- Control on dormant and hold mail accounts.
- Perform checking on warnings related to terrorists and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) register to ensure regular PEP review is conducted as and when required.
- Provide support on audit/compliance review on AML processes by internal/external auditors/examiners.
- Handle the enquiries from government, solicitors and relevant authorities.
- Prepare and distribute the regular MIS reports.
- Coordinate any ad hoc project.
- Learn and develop capabilities for coverage of the Middle Office Functions.
- Drive assigned enhancement and process improvement to implementation in BAU.
- Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
- Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work.
- Engage with Business and internal Risk & Compliance unit to improve overall Client On-boarding and Client’s Profile Review processes.
- Provide adequate resources to support operations related to Private Banking products and services.
- Participate and support system development and system testing for Private Banking services and products.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' of relevant experience.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Team player, self-motivated, proactive, and eager to improve existing processes.
- Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate with business partners and internal Risk & Compliance.
- Strong execution skills and ability to multi-task. Able to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of AML regulatory requirements and relevant internal policies and guidelines, procedures, practices and rules.
- Good understanding of the private banking products and services.
